The best part about travel is the people you get to meet along the way. And here in Germany, our current monthly country home, I had the pleasure of getting to know Daniel and Hanna: newlyweds, world travelers, and fellow wedding photographers living in Stuttgart.
These two are some of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve ever met. I had been on a search to find models for a photo shoot in Baden-Württemberg, and when I posted a link in a wedding photographer’s Facebook group saying as much, Hanna immediately sent me a message. Turns out she and her husband grew up right in this area and were now living just an hour away! Even though they’re already married, she offered to pop on down to Bad Urach for a day to let me shoot them in a faux-engagement session. And since they’re photographers as well, they even offered to shoot my husband David and me (I mean, talk about being above and beyond awesome!)
So on a warm Sunday evening, David and I met up with Daniel and Hanna out in a beautiful field near Bad Urach Waterfall, dressed in our best and ready to shoot.
Hanna and Daniel are a photographer’s dream couple: they’re always laughing and smiling with each other, and it’s clear that they are genuinely in love. It was such a joy to capture those moments — a touch of the arm here, a loving glance there — on camera. And the fact that it all happened outdoors with the softest, most beautiful evening light? Couldn’t have been better for a natural light photographer like me.
Thanks, Hanna and Daniel, for letting me document a little piece of your love story!
